How to take STRIBILD

Make taking STRIBILD part of your daily routine and always take the medicine exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to.

  • 1 pill once a day

  • About the same
    time each day

  • With food

If you take an antacid medicine, it should be taken at least 2 hours before or after you take STRIBILD. Also, please be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you notice any changes in your health after you start treatment.

Don’t change your dose or stop taking STRIBILD without talking to your healthcare provider first. If you stop taking your medicine, even for a short time, it can cause an increase in HIV-1 in your body.

Do not miss a dose of STRIBILD. If you miss a dose:

  • Take the missed dose right away, unless it is almost time for your next dose.
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, take the next dose as planned. Do not take 2 doses at the same time. Just take the next dose of STRIBILD at your regular time.

Do not run out of STRIBILD. Refill your prescription or talk to your HCP before your STRIBILD is all gone.

STRIBILD is a complete treatment for HIV-1. Do not take it with other HIV-1 medicines.

Taking STRIBILD with other medicines

STRIBILD can affect the way other medicines work and other medicines can affect how STRIBILD works, which may cause serious side effects.

Some medicines may also make the amount of STRIBILD in your body too low to help control your HIV-1, in which case the virus may become resistant to STRIBILD.

Do not take STRIBILD if you also take a medicine that contains:
